​Most individuals from deprived communities lack the required skills to essentially succeed due to multiple barriers from; getting excluded in secondary school, getting pregnant hence having to drop out, family issues/instability, homelessness, and others. Most services on offer from private institutions are too expensive to access, and most public colleges ask for prerequisite qualifications before admission hence making it more difficult for certain individuals to access. Also due to the long last effect of Covid-19, most young people are leaving schools, colleges and universities without the right skills required to succeed in the outside world. LEGENDS COMMUNITY OUTREACH CIC seeks to train individuals with low income from all backgrounds, with guidance on how to access relevant information and skills for success, and financial independence. Training includes Numeracy including Functional skills, Literacy, Computer literacy, interview techniques, CV writing, helping individuals look for jobs and so on.
